HUB24 has appointed Ruth Stringer as a non-executive director and a member of its audit, risk and compliance committee. Stringer is currently a consultant at Herbert Smith Freehills and prior to that was a senior analyst and specialist in superannuation at Australian Securities and Investments Commission. She was previously a partner at King & Wood Mallesons, Lander and Rogers, Ashurst and Minter Ellison. Stringer was on the Board of Taxation’s Advisory Panel, and the Steering Committee of the International Pension and Employee Benefit Lawyers Association.
Computershare has promoted Nick Oldfield to chief financial officer (CFO). He takes over from Mark Davis who announced his intention to resign in July. Oldfield has been with the company for over 16 years in a range of executive positions including CFO of Europe, Middle East, and Africa, CFO of United States and most recently global head of mortgage services.
State Street Corporation has appointed Cara Brosnan to the newly created position as head of sector solutions in Australia and Southeast Asia. She joins from HSBC where she was for the last 11 years and was most recently regional head of insurance sector sales for HSBC Securities Services in Asia Pacific. She will be responsible for leading sales across all of State Street’s products and client sectors including asset managers, asset owners, insurance, official institutions and alternatives.
